  1. Joey, lovely quote. But kind of sad. Freddie the leaf is beautiful though!

  2. Beautiful photo, Joey. All our oak leaves have turned a brown-sugar brown now. But they were beautiful not so long ago. :)

  3. Thank you for sharing this wonderful image. You have inspired me to get back on my blogger. What a lovely Indian Summer Day it was today.
I hope you were able to get out and enjoy it too dear friend.

  6. Joey, such a clever take on Facebook! My daughter likes to make fun of me for blogging, but she spends time on Facebook with her friends. I try to tell her they're both ways of meeting and connecting with friends.

Lovely photo of the oak leaves; I like the way you've superimposed the leaves over the tree itself. Change is certainly a part of life, so we might as well accept it and learn to deal with it, right?

  7. Thanks dear Beckie ~ wise November is indeed bittersweet and like "The Fall of Freddy the Leaf", paints a poignant tale about change through the cyclical seasons of life.

Brown-sugar brown is the perfect description, Nancy. Hardy oak leaves hang on as though defying winter.

Happy to hear you're back blogging, Bren. You are very gifted! I fear Indian Summer was though beautiful, brief ... OOT all week and now racing home with the forcast of snow, hot on our heels!

Oh dear Anna ~ forever present with the kindest words. Thank you.

Thank you, dear Katarina. Where did summer go?

Aren't daughters great, Rose? Mine encouraged me to join FB, which I did but barely visit (time crunch) though smiled when all my children's friends happily welcomed me. Indeed change is part of life, made easier through the warmth of dear family & friends.

  10. I've only been away a few weeks, and already I'm having a little trouble catching up with you.
If I sound like I'm complaining, I'm not, really.
I like hanging out here, reading your quotes, paying obeisance to your amazing photography and just being thankful for good and talented friends, like you.

  13. The photo is a perfect likeness of what Michigan has been this Fall. What a great October and Novemebr we've had; it looks like it may be coming to an end :(

  14. Your heart connects with mine, Jane Marie, both in our love for Michigan and herbs. Enjoy layering, trying to capture muted moments in time. Know this beautiful fall is coming to an end after spending the chilly day putting gardens to bed (still not done) and watching the snow follow us home. Delighted to return after a week away knowing, "There is no place like home."

I have to ask...can we link to each other?
I have to let you know...it's driving me crazy that I don't know how you create your Awesome photos.
Someday I'll get better at photography but will never be as creative as you are.

    Thanks,
