Says it all, doesn't it? Joyful, joyful. I've seen a few sour-grapes type posts and comments, but mostly people seem to be thrilled and hopeful. Which we all need now and again.
Always a dear, jodi ~ as you well know, there will always be a few sour-grapes in a bunch. Honoring your thought on HOPE, here are 2 favorite quotes, even beloved gardeners will embrace:
Lin Yutang: Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.
Christopher Reeve: Once you choose hope, anything's possible.
I loved his speech. Then I listened to NPR pundits discuss it! One commentator said that it was many layered and would be discussed and interpreted for years! She spoke reverently. Love the quotes in your response to Jodi!
Hi dear Caren ~ I agree. We must always hold our heads high! With so much going on in the world that we have no power over, we must all walk tall and wrap our arms around the gifts in our own lives (besides loved ones ~ a good camera and HOPE for 'an ideal' spring garden with good photos are a fun start :)
Thanks, dear Gail. With much on this new President's plate, his face changed once he started briefings! HOPE is a HUGE word, one I know you must instill in those that touch you professionally ... a reason to live and hopefully choose right paths along the way.

(Hugs) dear neighbor and friend.
I feel like we can finally hold our heads up again as a nation. It's nice to see the outpouring of support worldwide.

Joey, hope is exactly what I feel now with Obama as president. And Christopher Reeve is so right!
ReplyDeleteJe souhaite la chance pour 2009 !
ReplyDeleteLe monde regarde Obama .
Hi Joey, oh happy happy day. The speech was mesmerizing and tears flowered freely with joy at every word. So uplifting.
