we borrow it from our children."

Joey, I often wonder what my grandchildren will face as adults when it comes to our planet. I hope they don't have to pay for our mistakes and they are 'greener' thinking than past generations. Your poem is beautiful. Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteOn days like this, I honor all your thoughtful comments. Loving your voice, I thank you ... we are all children of the earth and family :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful Earth Day post, Joey! I almost used that second quote myself:) I find it interesting and almost ironic that when I looked up some quotes for Earth Day, many of the best ones were from Native Americans. Perhaps if the early settlers of our country had treated the Native Americans differently, they would have learned some of their culture and this world might be a different place today.
ReplyDeleteThe Siberian squill photos were absolutely gorgeous! I love that shade of blue.
Joey, beautiful Earth Day post. I've always loved the words of this speech and I still have the entire text. Thank you for posting something as beautiful as this.
