I am enjoying learning the names of all these full moons--strawberry moon is perfect for June! The strawberry cream cake sounds like a delicious alternative to strawberry shortcake, my favorite June dessert.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose ... Since 'Under the Strawberry Moon' is the title for one of my still 'unfinished' novels, prepared for capturing a stunning new shot of my favorite moon, this is last year's photo ... last night's evening at the lake was overcast and rainy :( Nevertheless, my heart lies within this photo (perhaps the cover of my finished book) and appreciate your kind words.
ReplyDeleteJoey, absolutely stunning photo! You are so good with the special effects. I can barely crop. :) I've eaten this cake and it is heavenly. We took 5 granddaughters strawberry picking on Sat. and they had a ball. First time for all of them. Am going to include a couple of photos in my next post-when I can find time to get it done.
ReplyDeleteBooks?? You write novels?? I am very impressed and can't wait to read them.
It sound just delicious I wish you had a photo of it. My strawberries are in bloom here but no fruit yet so I have to wait for this cake.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Vaxholm/ Tyra
Good morning Joey. Love your photo! The strawberry cheese cake sounds wonderful and so easy to make.
ReplyDeleteWonderful title for a novel. Do you have anything published that we can read?
I have a start on a first chapter;) Afraid I don't have much disicpline.
Marnie
Yum, Beckie ... love the memorable taste of freshly picked strawberries and how fun to pick them with the grandchildren. Yes, plugging away on 2 ... Diary of a Ho-Hum Housewife is in final editing stage ... Under the Strawberry Moon is 1/3 written.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that you've been ill, Tyra. Please get well soon ... the garden is anxiously waiting your return!
Nothing yet, Marnie, but high hopes of kicking Diary of a Ho-Hum Housewife out the door very soon :) So ... what is the title of your novel?
This looks like so much fun up at the Island. I remember visiting here often when we were kids. I will have to take my kids up soon before they go off to college!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - Loving your photos you are taking.
Back to the weeding in my beloved garden!
The Mackinac Island never disappoints, Bren. You must go ... it's a National Treasure and close for you to enjoy. Your kids would so enjoy the bike ride around the island and the fun shots. The Lilac festival is an especially lovely time to visit...
ReplyDeleteThat strawberry recipe sounds wonderful. What is a hulled strawberry?
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat strawberry moon picture. I love how your blog combines luscious garden photos with luscious recipes. I hope to return many times to enjoy both.
ReplyDeleteHulled strawberries are berries without the stems, Anna. Sorry I missed this post :( I just might make this again when the grandboys arrive this weekend. Hope all is well. Hard to believe another full moon is here ...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Garden Lily. I'll look forward to your return visit. Have a luscious summer!
