"Nothing is too polished to see the beauty of flowers.
Nothing too rough to be capable of enjoying them.
It attracts, delights all."

Note: Easy to double recipe and place in glass serving dish. Finish the same by removing 2 hours early and placing in refrigerator to slightly thaw. Spoon into dessert dishes, top with berries and mint.
Great looking recipe, Joey. :-) How did you do that "double exposure?" Very Neat!
ReplyDeleteJoey, your photos are delicious! and the Mousse sounds equally so. It will be on my menu the next time the grands are here. They love anything frozen with fruit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had such fun with the butterfly. The are delightful creatures and you can't help being enthralled by them. I have seen only a few this year, but have taken many pictures of them.
Hope your summer is going great. :)
Joey - I do so enjoy your images these are quite lovely - as for the recipe - ell it sounds so good, even I might try to make it :)

Morning Joey, lovely photos. Are you seeing many butterflies this year. We have very few here.
ReplyDeleteThe sounds simple and quick to make. I'll have to try it. Love raspberries more than any other fruit.
Marnie
Very arty and beautiful collages Joey. Brilliant work.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from a sunny Vaxholm/ Tyra
I'm serving a favourite tonight - Gazpacho.
Thanks Shady. Multiple exposures are often a delightful surprise and very easy to do with most photo editing software.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you enjoying your new camera, Beckie. You have a great eye! Summer has been 'crazy' wonderful ... home for 3 or 4 days then back to lake for the weekends (13 guests last weekend ... lots lake fun, cookin' & campfires with all my chickens, grandchickens, and friends of chickens ... making beautiful Hubbard Lake memories).
Thanks Karen. Do hope you try and enjoy the mousse. Summer hugs!
Mornin' Marnie! Enjoyed viewing your garden, very similar to mine. Actually, butterflies have been few and far between this summer although the bees have havin' a ball!
You are a dear, sunny Tyra! Love Gazpacho ... I popped over, copied your delightful recipe, and (hope you don't mind) also shared mine with you. Yes, summer 'fresh' dining is now at it's best!
ReplyDeletesuch summer delights in your life.
ReplyDeletejust lovely.
This why I love...who couldn't when you see those butterflies and bees visit it! The mousse sounds delicious and so do the chocolate ones listed at the end of the post! gail
ReplyDeleteMarmee, you are a dear. Always a joy to connect and visit your peaceful peace of earth.
ReplyDeleteHi Gail! The garden welcomes butterflies that seem to be very shy this year ... but bees & hummingbirds seem to be vactioning here. A bite of mousse is a fine way to end the day :) Get well wishes!
I love your combined photos, the one of the swallowtail and butterfly is particularly artsy!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Joey! Coneflowers are my favorite, as you know, but I don't have many butterflies visiting them this year. I'd love to have a few of those swallowtails fly southeast:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Monica ~ it's fun to fool around, often surprised and in awe of multiple exposures (as you might have guessed :)
ReplyDeleteI do so love coneflowers also, Rose. Butterflies seem to be few and far between in many gardens this summer. Wonder why? Now bees & hummingbirds are plentiful ...
more wonderful photos and recipes. Lately I have been a kitchen slug... the heat and humidity does that to me.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention Purple Coneflowers are also a favorite in my 'garden' (and I use the term loosely).
ReplyDeleteThe Tiger Swallowtails are such a delight as well. And while I've never actually seen the latter in my garden, I have always loved and admired them, through the eyes of talented people like you.
I loved them so much, I've even tried recreating them in sugar (There's a picture of the flutterby somewhere on my old website).
Well, I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again, your eye for beauty is both, breathtaking and inspiring.
I love your photography, Joey, and the artistic way in which you present it! Just so you know, I accidentally just 'picked' this post today...even though it's fairly old! It doesn't count for the picks list, but then again, it doesn't have to! You are so talented. I only wish I had time to try all of your tempting recipes!
