  9. That's such a great picture for bringing in the Winter Solstice. I went to an herb farm and made an evergreen wreath with my dil to bring in the season.

  12. It is a special day to celebrate, Anna, especially for gardeners. I long for longer daylight :)

Good day, dear Kana, and thank you. You too have been busy on your new 'great' looking blog!

Dearest Kerri, how kind! As you might have noticed, I have 'a thing' for cranberries and beginning in early November, can never seem to get my fill, which will pass when the calendar turns :) Happy Holidays and may the New Year surround us all in happiness :)

It does seem like many are honoring the Solstice, Monica, although, like you, it has always been a day I love to celebrate. Yea!

  24. Your Green Man is very cheerful compared to the grim carvings I have been looking at and illustrates the kind of up-dating/re-interpretation I mention in my post.

Wouldn't it be interesting if mediaeval and modern artists were able to get together for a discussion about symbolism?
