WELCOME NOVEMBER MUSE DAY (CHRYSANTHEMUM ~ FLOWER OF THE MONTH)

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

~ Albert Camus

CHRYSANTHEMUM ~ LEAVES
__________

November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.

~ Clyde Watson

  1. Joey, great photo. I like how you captured the shadows of leaves as they overhang the flower.

  5. Oh Joey, now I really am thinking we are going into winter. It has been so nice outside, I thought, for a moment we escaped it!

  6. Dearest Joey, I have no idea how you 'constructed' the image of the Chrysanthemum and the leaves but it is beguiling. How clever you are, and what a fun poem too.

  11. Love the double-exposed photo, Joey! The poem is so true--I was thinking this morning of two years ago when November started out in the 70's and bright sunshine and ended with a full snowstorm. We never know what to expect.

Loved your Halloween post, too--such fun:)

Beguiling is good, dearest Edith :) The post was fun and, knowing how you feel about the holiday, had to get past the Halloween post :)

  21. Hey there, sunshine,

Thank you for lifting our spirits!

The undeniably-vibrant colors in your photos, the quotes and the poems are some of the very reasons why Autumn will always be my favorite season of all.

  28. Though sunny, not too spiffy here either, Gail. Really need to work in the garden and finish planting bulbs but it's only 28ยบ and another cup of coffee sounds more to my liking :) Thank you. (Looks like a warming trend next week ... can't wait)
