"There is not a single colour hidden away in the chalice of a flower ... to which, by some subtle sympathy with the very soul of things, my nature does not answer."

OH YUMMY!!!!! I love Pesto ( had it on my bread tonight at dinner!) Can't wait to try this recipe on the grill the next nice weekend we have.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE FABULOUS..... thank you for sharing.
Joey, beautiful Azaleas!Don't you just love spring flowers?
ReplyDeleteWonderful receipe for Easter ham leftovers.
I love paninis, and this one sounds perfectly delicious!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had sunshine today, Joey :)
We prepare and eat a lot of pesto here, dear Bren. In fact, it's one of Mr. Ho-Hum's favorite things to make besides creating a panini!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beckie ... indeed I love spring flowers. Now, if it would only warm up!
So-so here today, dear Kerri but there is sunshine in my heart (how's that for remaining optimistic :) Do hope the sun is shining down upon you!
The recipe looks great (and simple!). Thanks, again! :-) Were the flowers an Easter gift? They're beautiful and I just KNOW you'll be experiencing warmer Spring weather before long. :-)
ReplyDeleteAbout as simple as can be, Shady, and, yes, the azalea was an Easter gift ... to myself :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, all the leftover ham stayed with my mother who cooked our Easter dinner:)
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on posts after a busy Easter weekend, Joey...your Easter parade of flowers was just beautiful. And thank you for posting the story of the dogwood. I know I've read this some time in the past, but I had forgotten it. Such timely posts for the important religious holidays this past week.
Love your photos! What wonderful color on the blooms. I usually see florists azaleas here this time of year but so far haven't seen any.
ReplyDeleteLike you I wish we would have a warmup. Highs of 40-degrees aren't very springlike.
Marnie
Delicious! I love paninis and azaleas.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rose ~ do hope your weekend was lovely also. (Guess you'll have to pick up some ham at the deli!)
ReplyDeleteHi flowgirl1 ~ yes, both are delicious!
This azalea was most unusual, Marnie, and caught my eye. Certainly not one I would choose for outside but lovely to look at close up. Today is horrid ... cold & rainy :(
Hi Joey! I love panini and have been tempted to get a pan...but decided the george forman grill worked nicely...albeit slowly; one sandwich at a time! I hope your weather improves..."Come on spring, stop messing with Joey!" gail
ReplyDeletePerfect idea for the leftover ham! Never thought of using pesto on it. Still pretty cold here in NY too. (Sigh.)
ReplyDeleteSpring IS messing with me, Gail :( It's cold and rainy (a good day to work on my book). I'm sure the Forman grill works fine ... as does a griddle topped with an iron skillet.
ReplyDeleteSigh indeed JGH! This is getting OLD ... one of the coolest April's I can remember.
Frilly, feminine pinks! Like a young girl blushing.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
THUD.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't have said it better, Brenda!
ReplyDeleteOK, Marysol ... thud :)
