    Are those chives proper chives? Does this mean I'm going to get flower things on mine? This is too much; I'll tell Mrs IG I plantyed them specifically for the flowers!

    Joey, These blooms are so bright and lovely. Your talent at arranging your photos is excellent! Wonderful collages as usual. I love the last painted fern shot. The beauty of your work is that each photo stands beautifully alone, as well as, in every grouping. I particularly love the blues and yellows though the reds and purples are truly alluring.

    Such fun with photoshop...
    My chives, forget- me- nots, sedums, peonies and all the other HARDY perenniels are doing well, but the hanging baskets are still in the garage!!!!

    Yes indeed those are proper chives, IG, and mighty delicious, even the flowers. Try my delightful chive blossom omelette, a spring favorite!

    Thank you, Carol. I love May and May flowers! The last is a Japanese Painted Fern that, being a fern fanatic, love and have tons of.

    As you can see, Eileeen, I love azaleas that seem very well suited and happy in my garden. May has been stunning!

    How sweet, Katarina, as you have always been an inspiration for me. Happy weekend gardening :)

    Agree, Kathy. We are at the lake and put my tender annuals in the garage before we left. Enough is enough! Luckily, the weather is lovely today unlike last Saturday when it snowed ... sideways.

    Hello Diana, your post was most touching. Thank you for inquiring about my sister who, unfortunately after surviving horrific illness issues, meningitis and 2 bouts of endocarditis where she lost her vision, died this past summer, a heavy time for me. A brilliant woman (lawyer) Nancy spent 2 years (60s) with Peace Corps in Afghanistan and her career with Legal Services in Montana. Her journey is an incredible book.

    I have to ask about your painted fern. I've had one for about six years. It has neither increased or decreased in size. Every year it is exactly the same. Does yours get larger?
