BLESSED BE 'AUTUMNAL EQUINOX' ~ WELCOME 'AUTUMN HARMONY'

"There is a harmony
In autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!"

~ Percy Bysshe Shelley

"Equal dark, equal light

Flow in Circle, deep insight

Blessed Be, Blessed Be

The transformation of energy!

So it flows, out it goes

Three-fold back it shall be

Blessed Be, Blessed Be

The transformation of energy!"

  3. Dearest Joey, Your skyscape with its big orange balloon is absolutely captivating. Is the party over....or is the party yet to come? Your Hubbard Lake looks to me to be the most perfect place at any time and season.

    I always enjoy your photography.

Can I make a request? Can you post a scrumptious pumpkin recipe sometime in the future? (I bet you already have plans to!)
    Thanks!

Hello, dearest Edith, and thank you. Indeed Hubbard Lake is a place for all seasons. We are blessed to have found this beautiful piece of earth.

Hugs and happy Autumn to you, dear friend Kiki.

How kind, Rosey, thank you. Oh, dear one, do I have pumpkin recipes for you! I adore pumpkin ... how about Thai Pumpkin Soup, Pumpkin Chili, Praline Pumpkin Torte, Spiced Pumpkin Muffins, Pumpkin Pound Cake, Ginger Pumpkin, Cranberry & Apples, Pumpkin Tiramisu, Pumpkin Soup with Chili Cran-Apple Relish, Pumpkin PIe, Pumpkin Scones ... Simply key in the word 'pumpkin' in search at the top of my blog. Enjoy and Happy Autumn :)

Just a hint here, Meredehuit. Today it's in the 80s, too hot for autumn thoughts and what was I thinking, planning a rich autumn dinner for tonight's OOT guests :)

  10. Beautiful photo Joey. It does say autumn so clearly.

Did you happen to notice the bright full moon last night? It was lovely and so bright that I could see the shadows of tree branches through my window. That's what your photo made me think of. (oh..now, I just ended a sentence with a preposition. Don't tell the grammer police or any of the nuns that used to teach me.)

  12. Nuns still haunt us all, dear Lindalou, but wouldn't trade the experience :) Thank you dear friend ~ Happy Michigan Autumn :)

After the 'too hot for me and my garden summer', like today in the 80s, cooler temps are in my 'must list', Patsi. Happy Autumn :)

  17. Joey, lovely photo as always!

By the time I fumbled for my camera and unlocked the bedroom door yesterday morning, the full moon had slipped behind some clouds. I got a few, but not quite on the ball.

    Have a marvelous weekend.

  20. Happy Autumn, dear Kala :) Thank you, fun foto friend.

So true, Ronelle, and well said. We are of the same heart/soul.

Thank you, Eileen. As this is the autumnal equinox view from our cottage, we are indeed blessed.

Thanks, Rose. My head is finally accepting the reality. Happy autumn :)

Hi, Di. The harvest moon was awesome but I too, in my crazy life, was unable to 'shoot the moon'. Wishing you a marvelous weekend also. Forever in awe, we are back here at this wild/wonderous lake.

Thank you, Karen, and had to laugh since tonight with 45/mile winds (that ripped off top of our boat canape) was not a night to sit in the lawn chair and sip lemonade. We arrived in awe and wonder (getting boats out this weekend to tuck away for winter) what tomorrow will bring :) A cozy fire, an autumnal treat, and glass of good red wine was in order.

Thanks Chad. We like/focus on many of the same wonders.

  21. Ah, autumn. I have such mixed feelings about it, as you know, but right now is very lovely. If we could just have more daylight after supper...but instead, I turn to reading blogs more often, so that's a good thing. And we're recharging our batteries for the next garden season. :-)

  22. I think autumn is finally going to arrive here. My goodness but it's been hot, even for a summer lover like me. But this weekend has been chilly, and October arrives this week. Boohoo! It's pretty, but makes me sad knowing winter is behind it. Now you know I think Michigan is glorious, the state should hire me for PR because I constantly work at it for free!

  23. I am so with you, jodi, about more daylight after dinner, especially when at the lake we often don't eat until 8 'cause it's still light 'til after 10! I get very soporific when dinning dark in the dark at 5 :(

I'm pinching myself, Robin, wondering where summer went. But in spite of the wind and rain over the weekend, up north is beginning to tip in fall color and should be amazing in 2 weeks.

    Thanks Wendy :)

Monica, you and I are so often on the same page. Thank you, dear friend.
