'GOD PAINTS IN MANY COLORS ... '

"White ... is not a mere absence of colour; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black.... God paints in many colours; but He never paints so gorgeously, I had almost said so gaudily, as when He paints in white."

~ Gilbert Keith Chesterton

Even the snow looks pretty when you photograph it! LOL Not a winter person, as you know, but the snow washed the world with white. Not too bad. If only it wasn't so cold! I just love to see pictures of your big copper garden clock.

Joey, I am giving you my own medal for your absolutely wonderful, creative collages! Here, the second one is my favorite, with the snow among the blooms. What a contrast!

I LOVE White. White flowers, white clothing (I have so many white tees...can't seem to buy other colors), white kitchens. Such beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing today.

Great quote joey, and beautiful photos and collages to go along with it ! Love the one with the church door in it, and the snow scenes ... aw, all of them !

And to top it off, the word verification is 'GREEN' - go figure ! ;-)

I hear you, Robin! January is waning and spring is getting closer. I too love my photogenic garden clock, a constant reminder of time well spent in the garden.

Thanks Whimsical ... fun to create. White does not seem as much of a problem as challenging red is for me! And each camera presents different color issues.

Hello, A Year ... and thank you. I have never used Foto Fusion ... do you?

I hear you, Eileen. With January half gone, we are edging closer to spring!

Thanks fer ... I love white!

And your butterflies are gorgeous, One! Thank you :)

Thank you, Angela. Good luck with your projects.

As I admire your stunning photos, how kind, Rob. I adore white cosmos and will look forward to your captures. And can we talk about your last post! I'm still dreaming ...

Tatyana, you are a dear, and thank you. We have been friends for quite some time now and so appreciate encouragement through your gifted eye. Fun that we both focused on a single leaf ...

What can I say, Jen, but a humble thank you, dear friend. Blessed to know you, it's always a delight to see life through your gifted eye too.

Thank you, Linnea :)

And thank you, Amy. Winter/summer/fall/spring ... I too so enjoy the view from my library window.

A lovely thought, Shirley. Thank you.

Thanks, Lindalou. A white lover, you must be enjoying the outside winter white!

White is not my fave color but your pics are really beautiful. I like the snow capped landscapes which gives me a Christmasy feeling.

I love these white collages!

The church door in the first one is very beautiful. Nice!

I think white is serene and peaceful. I hardly ever wear white...I am too messy.

joey said...

Welcome Paul and thank you. I am a white flower person ...

Thanks Rosey! I love white flowers, both inside and out, but like you, messy, hardly ever wear white since by the time I'm headin' out the door, I'm full of spots!

Gorgeous symphonies in white, Joey! I keep saying I'm going to do a white garden sometime, but I've not done it yet. I love white flowers. My very first "favorite flower" was a white daisy. I'm still partial to them.

So beautiful, Joey! The first collage reminded me of a wedding...although that's partly because I've been busy planning one with my daughter.

What Karen Sees said...

Pristine, clean, pure, angelic, and all beautiful. You have made beautiful photos to remind us that white is also the 'color' of beautiful flowers as well as the cold snow!
