WELCOME JUNE ~ 'THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE'

"What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade."

Beautiful montage of your peonies Joey ...and about as close as I'm going to get to a garden this week! :(

A gorgeous flush of pink blooms for the start of June. Unfortunately, June has brought us cold weather, hail, wind and rain...hrumpf. Crossing my fingers though that our sunny California weather will kick in any day now, so we can start our perfect young summer too!

June feels more like July over here. Everything is about a month ahead. Drop of rain and everything will be perky again.

What a beautiful quote and a beautiful set of flowers for Garden Muse Day.
I went back a bit to look at your garden/writing blog. Wow! Are these all from your garden?
You have a lovely garden.

Second post I've seen today on Peonies. Must be a June thing. Lovely photos and wasn't today just magnificent.

Thanks Liz ... they are just beginning to pop though I missed my tree peony that came and went before I got back home :(

Thank you, Carolyn. I have so much going on, it's hard to capture everything. But I do so love peonies and my Scarlet O'hara is also now in bloom ... a true beauty.

Thanks Kate! I love the soft color of this peony that I inherited with the house over 35 years ago. Wow, your photos were stunning. Have fun.

How kind, Cher. Thank you and happy June :)

Thank you, Clare. We have had more than our share of record breaking rain this spring ... wish I could send some your way. I'll do my best!

Thanks Wendy. Yes, pretty in pink!

That would be me, imac! Thanks.

Welcome David and thank you. Yes, unless on a posted trip, these are all from my evolving garden, a work in progress for over 35 years.

Hi Rob. We are actually about 2 weeks behind this spring (2nd for record-breaking rain) but with the heatwave of the past few day, everything is catching up and exploding! Wishing you a healthy soaking downpour!

Yes, today was super grand, Lindalou. And June for me is about peonies.

Mi querida, I totally appreciate this week's quote.
And if I could, I would plant myself in a little plot in your garden, and hope some of its beauty would rub off on me, and preserve me for years to come.

Gee, I hope that vision wasn't too disturbing.

I can almost smell your peony from here Joey!

June is so welcome after our mostly chilly spring.

Oh, I've missed your floral fantasies and garden views!!! I've been MIA for several months as we get settled in our New Zealand home away from home, but hope I can now get back to some blogging and visiting my blogging buddies. It's been eye candy to catch up on your posts!!

Pretty in pink! Always thinking of you, even if I don't comment on blogs much these days. (Bad, bad Monica!)

So beautiful, Joey! Unfortunately, the new pink peony I bought this spring doesn't look like it will bloom this year. But your photos give me hope that maybe next year I'll have some to enjoy.

Marysol, you a gift my life, never disturbing :)

From COLD to HOT, Linda! Such is the life of a gardener. Let's both enjoy June and (hopefully) all it's glory :)

Thank you, dear Kala :)

And thank you, dear 'always so kind', Shady.

Delighted to hear from you, Karen, and happy you are settled in on your new life journey. Your new posts are stunning!

Thanks 'never bad' Monica :) Partner in crime, with 'crazy' life, I've been a horrid commenter too. Friendship goes way beyond!

Thanks sweet Jen :) Yes, let's hope June shines on us both and that we have time to capture the best!

DGG ... enjoy! Always a delight to hear from you :)

Aw Rose, the hope of each spring sustains us. Thank you.
