"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
~ Albert Camus
CHRYSANTHEMUM ~ LEAVES
__________
November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.

Joey, great photo. I like how you captured the shadows of leaves as they overhang the flower.
That's a stunning photo Joey, and a lovely poem :)
It's hard to believe that November is here already and soon we'll be moving into the holidays! I really enjoyed the poem ;-)
Thank you, Shirley. Multiple exposures are fun to create.
Hi, Nutty. Thanks fun friend and Happy November :)
Wishing you a beautiful November, Whimsical. Thank you.
Oh Joey, now I really am thinking we are going into winter. It has been so nice outside, I thought, for a moment we escaped it!
Eileen
Dearest Joey, I have no idea how you 'constructed' the image of the Chrysanthemum and the leaves but it is beguiling. How clever you are, and what a fun poem too.
It so hard to imagine even thinking about snow, but it usually hits in November.
What a wonderful photo - and I love that pumpkin quotation! Greetings from Wales, UK.
Thanks for remembering Muse Day with that lovely selection and photo, Joey. Happy November !
That's a beautiful image! Reminds me of golden fall afternoons..
Love the double-exposed photo, Joey! The poem is so true--I was thinking this morning of two years ago when November started out in the 70's and bright sunshine and ended with a full snowstorm. We never know what to expect.
Loved your Halloween post, too--such fun:)
Wow, Joey!
Those colors on your black blog background are just stunning! Took my breath away. Happy Monday. :-)
Kaleidoscope like in Beauty Joey! Beautiful! Love the poem too. Happy November! ;>)
Joey, How DO you do multiple exposures? (Guess I'd better be reading my camera manual!!) ha. Are you "battening your hatches" these days?
gorgeous shot - so bright and happy!
Very nice verse and beautiful photo composition!
Sorry, Eileen, it's right around the corner :( Look to the gift of November skies that often mirror the beauty of a once seen landscape. Unlike most, i love November : )
Beguiling is good, dearest Edith :) The post was fun and, knowing how you feel about the holiday, had to get past the Halloween post :)
Hello Michigan Lindalou! We are lucky to yet see a snowflake! It usually snows before my birthday (13th) :(
Welcome and warm Michigan greetings , Carolyn Gill. Thank you and lets keep warm thoughts together :)
Happy November and sweet memories, Gail. It's been 4 years since we have connected when you first invited me to join Muse Day :)
Yes, golden thoughts will sustain us until spring, Sweetbay :)
Dear friend, Rose, thank you. The seasons pass so quickly. Blessed to be your friend throughout all. Happy November :)
Hi Kate. Thank you. Happy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and life :)
Thank you, Carol. Kaleidoscope living is always a visit viewing life through your eyes, dear friend.
Thanks Jill :) Like you, we find happiness, year round, behind the lens and meant to be bright and happy :)
Thank you, jewel. You are always so kind ... Happy November :)
Hi Shady ~ multiple exposers are easy especially viewing a complex life, the way that I see them :) Heavy thoughts :)
Did we pick the same quote..? Amazing! You must be my twin sister...over there!
Hugs!
Indeed we did, Katarina, and I'd be honored to be your 'across the sea' twin :)
Hey there, sunshine,
Thank you for lifting our spirits!
The undeniably-vibrant colors in your photos, the quotes and the poems are some of the very reasons why Autumn will always be my favorite season of all.
Very nice. I really liked it.
Lovely layers! A great combination of images. It is like gazing into a pool of water.
Beautiful image(s) joey - really captures the changes that the end of fall brings, and so does the poem !
Fabulous processing on this one Joey!
Joey, How lovely and what a great poem for muse day. It's raining here and soon we'll have a freeze, but we don't see much winter weather until much later in the year! Have a great day my friend! xxgail
Hello, dear Marysol. Delighted to see you my friend. Thank you and warm wishes for the remains of a happy autumn.
Thank you, Abe. Happy November :)
Interesting, Jennifer. Thank you.
Happy November behind the lens, Rick :) Thank you.
Thanks, Kala. Loved your bridge!
Though sunny, not too spiffy here either, Gail. Really need to work in the garden and finish planting bulbs but it's only 28º and another cup of coffee sounds more to my liking :) Thank you. (Looks like a warming trend next week ... can't wait)
Stunning photo! I also enjoyed the poem; this post is a perfect expression of the month of November.
Still trying to figure out how you took that fantastic photograph! Beautiful. Have a great November!
Thank you, debsgarden, how kind. Happy November :)
Hi kanak ~ thank you. Not such a mystery, my friend, just a multiple exposure. Wishing you a delightful November also.
