Dazzling post joey!!! I am gerbera crazy..so this was a visual treat! Your photos are fabulous and magical!! Thanks for such an epic trip to flower-land!
Kiki~
Such jolly shots. Lovely mosaics. Thank you for brightening up my day.
RO xx
One of my favorite flowers. However, even though I buy some every year for the garden, I don't do too well with it outside. Any hints?
Eileen
Thanks Kiki ...I adore these and spent 'magical' moments photographing. Happy April!
Good morning RO and thank you. It's a glorious day, temps way above normal. Oh happy spring :)
Gerberas are a favorite of mine too, Eileen. These will be used inside in Easter arrangements then planted outside the end of, hopefully, 'frost free' May.
Lovely photos--as always!--Joey. This post really makes me feel spring in my bones, somehow. :)
Dear Joey, First I must compliment you on the absolutely beautiful flowers...just so lovely and then those perfect quotes! I noticed a comment you made to another blogger...about needing two Joeys! I need three gails...gardening, blogging and working! Happy Spring~~gail
Beautiful collages, Joey! I've never had much luck keeping Gerbera daisies for very long, but they are one of my Dad's favorites. He's managed to even over-winter some before. He seems to have a special touch with them.
I had to think about the Twain quote for awhile:) It's such a beautiful day here that I'm celebrating spring and completely forgot it was April Fools' Day.
Beautiful! beautiful! beautiful! Joey, you have a remarkable talent to look at beauty in a different way.
I had to play catch-up on several of your wonderful posts... amazing as always. I do hope Spring has finally come to you and that your Easter season is full of blessings.
Dear Joey, What a joyous posting. I love all of these 'daisies', a flower which always makes me smile. But, oh, my disappointment as I felt certain that I could rely on you for a Simnel Cake receipt. Still, there are shops!!
Thank you so much for the good wishes you left for me when I went away. I have missed your postings and wish you a very Happy Easter.
wow you sure do like your gerbera's and what wonderful photos too. Thanks for sharing. They are beautiful plants.
A stunning collection of Gerbera Daisies! I don't grow them, and so only usually see them in cut flower arrangements. Although sadly, as cut flowers, they don't seem to last long enough.
Dear Kim, you are such a dear and always connect with me on some level. Blessed to know you, I remain one of your biggest fans!
Oh Gail, thanks dear friend ... I really need 4 of me :) If you and I could combine our talents and love for family/life/gardens/photography/food/reading/writiing/travel, blah, blah, blah ... maybe it would balance out :) Happy Easter!
Delighted to hear you are also enjoying this fabulous weather, Rose. After your trip, it's especially wondrous to find gifts waiting for you at home. Finished The HELP, which was wonderful. Happy Easter!
Touched by your words, Di, thank you. You, too, have a gift and why it's such a joy knowing you. Easter blessings!
Dearest Edith, so happy to have you home after your holiday. Have 'no clue' about the Simnel cake but after research, sounds delightful, but even better shared with you! Easter blessings from my kitchen/garden to yours :)
Oh yes, I love gerberas, Rosie! So simple and fun to photograph.
Hi CVF! These gerberas are in pots, fun to use in arrangements then plunk outside either in pots or, after frost, in the garden. The rich colors excite me plus, as you can well see, love to photograph!
Excellent shots...
I had one of these, last summer, in red. It was pretty like all of your flower pictures are pretty.
Thanks Jarlin!
Gerberas are pretty, Abraham, and such stunning colors ... love 'em!
Stunning daisies! I always want to bring these home when I see them at the store. Such a lovely way to greet spring!
Your photos are incredible as always. Gerberas are one bloomer I've tried to grow many times but never with much success. They just don't like it here.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Easter.
Marnie
So bright and cheery and beautiful. What a warming post.
excellent macros! All around happy post, love all the colors, beautiful shots :)
Wow, are those all photos of your own plants, or did you go to a nursery?! I do love the gerberas, but don't have much luck with them throughout the season.
great shots of the gerbera daisy... nice contrast against your black back ground. cheers!
Hi sweet Rosey ... don't hesitate next time you see them! Cheerful Gerberas bring great joy :)
Hello, dear Marnie ~ I don't worry about gerberas, simply enjoy, and just go with them. If they last, they last ... if they don't, they don't :) I do hope your father is mending. Easter blessings, dear friend, a true joy to know and learn from :)
Thanks Scott ... once there, hard to leave your site but ... life goes on :)
Oh, Johnny, thanks ... just returned from your site and still dizzy :)
These are all my babies, Monica. All are inside (planted outside later), incorporated in Easter arrangements. Can you believe this weather ... but wishing temps to drop so we can enjoy glorious spring in 'slow motion' instead of 'fast forward'. Happy Easter, dear Michigan friend.
Cheers, Dirty GG, and thank you. Colorful gerbera daisies are one of my favorite flowers to shoot.
Camera, macro lens, flowers - shoot!
Lovely shots joey - a real visual treat.
I do so love gerber daisies but so do the slugs that slide through my garden. Maybe I should just stick to a bouquet of them.
Missed this, Rick, sorry :( and thanks :)
Slugs love m garden too, EAT! I always enjoy them inside before planting outside. That way whatever happens, and they are iffy, they have been thoroughly enjoyed.
