'DAYLIGHT SAVINGS' (The Remains of the Day) ~ SUNSET (Hubbard Lake)

"So dull and dark are the November days.
The lazy mist high up the evening curled,
And now the morn quite hides in smoke and haze;
The place we occupy seems all the world."
- John Clare (November)

Thanks Kerri ...

Indeed we are blessed with amazing sunsets, each unique, with the equinox setting directly across the lake. Amazed at the many leaves still clinging to the trees in November. If today is as gusty as here, they will certainly be history! A strange autumn for sure ...

Hi Cat ... my favorite pears are 'big fat red Bartlett'. Try them with a hunk of good cheese like white cheddar. Yum! Most of the recipes posted are simple and seasonal, beckoning the eye & palate through color and flavor ... all about 'imaging', right? 'Happy cookin'!

Like your name, anonymous ... it must remain one the 'best kept secrets' in northern Michigan!
